Dear Stough Parents,
This may be something fun to do with the kids on Friday since there is no school.
Thanks!
Stough PTA
Join us to celebrate “Take a Child Outside at Prairie Ridge” this Friday, September 30th, from 3 pm to 6 pm!
Museum staff and volunteers will be here to guide you to a variety of habitats to hunt for wildlife and to look for signs of the changing seasons. If you cannot come earlier, be sure to come by 5:30, because that is when the last scheduled walk begins. Finish your walk at the Classroom with a hands-on activity and some light refreshments. Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. Children 15 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free event and no registration is required.
Our celebration at Prairie Ridge is just a small part of the national celebration of “Take a Child Outside Week”, from September 24 -30. To learn more and to see a list of nature activities, check out the website at http://www.takeachildoutside.org/ .
**Please share this notice with teachers, school groups, homeschoolers, neighbors–or other family groups! Thanks!** A pdf of the flyer is attached. CLICK HERE
I hope to see you here next Friday. The forecast is for beautiful weather, but we will have the event, rain or shine! Please contact me if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Cathy
