Global Carnival
Our biggest fundraiser of the year – our 26th Annual Global Carnival (formerly Mardi Gras) – is right around the corner on Saturday, February 27th, from 2 pm to 6 pm. To make this year’s event a success, we need your help! First and foremost, we need parent volunteers at the event. Also, any middle and high school student volunteers will receive community service hours for participating at Global Carnival. Secondly, we appreciate your support of your child’s efforts to sell raffle tickets for this event. The raffle traditionally brings in more money than any other PTA fundraiser. The PTA will award prizes to the top-selling students. Lastly, we are asking for cash donations that will allow us to purchase some key raffle prizes. Our committee is also soliciting raffle prizes, but we want to make sure we get some great prizes that will make it fun for the kids…like a Wii and Wii Fit gaming system, 32″ Flat Screen HDTV, a PSP, restaurant and retail gift certificates, etc. Please contact Amy Yukas (amy.yukas@gmail.com or 744-8900) or Liisa Trent (lhtrent@gmail.com or 624-1218) with any questions. Please make checks payable to the Stough PTA and include a note that the funds are to be used for raffle items by Friday January 22nd. The donations can be dropped off in the main office in a box called “PTA Global Carnival Donations.” |
